Everyone loves holidays, every month people look forward to the holiday that is marked on their calendar. Whatever the holiday may be people get excited for it, this excitement brings people together. No holiday brings people together better than the 4th of July, America’s independence day, the birthday of our country. Here at Clovis, we love the 4th of July it’s our favorite holiday. The reasons why it’s our favorite holiday are endless we could go on and on about it.
The reason we particularly love the 4th of July has already been said; it brings people together. We think this is a magical part of the 4th that not a lot of other holidays can do. If you are living in America, or are an American citizen you celebrate it. There are no other deciding factors that you need to achieve to celebrate independence day. Everyone and anyone come together and just celebrate being an American and being the best country on Earth.
In regards to this, the 4th isn’t just people sitting around congratulating one another on being American, no. It’s a party, the whole nation is having a party and anyone is invited. People have the day off and are pretty much forced to acknowledge that it’s the nation birthday. To celebrate, we light off fireworks all over the country so even if you forget that it’s independence day you are quickly reminded by explosive bangs and beautiful colors in the sky.
As an illustration of what the 4th of July is like in America, think of people enjoying one another’s company while honoring our fore fathers with food and booze. Nearly every backyard is filled with smoke from a grill cooking up every type of meat you can imagine. If you listen closely enough you can hear the crack of beers toasting, and bags of chips being opened. If you open your eyes wide enough all you see is an ocean of red, white and blue. If you feel the breeze against your skin, there is a high chance that an abundance of American flags are dancing in the wind. This is what the 4th of July brings, some parties can be rowdy and others calm. Either way a party is celebrated, it honors our country and what it stands for.
Not only do people celebrate individually, but towns come together to celebrate. Parades are common in towns on the 4th of July. Citizens march proudly through the streets of their American cities while smiling, waving flags, singing our national anthem, and throwing candy to spectators.
The 4th of July is all about having an enjoyable time on our nations birthday. It brings nothing but joy and remembrance to the people who have created and kept out nation great. This is why the 4th of July is our favorite holiday, there is no negative energy. Just joyful, happy, American people. We wish you a happy 4th of July!
